This activity took the longest to create. This was my first experience using iMovie. I created the video importing pictures of my artwork using iMovie on my Mac then imported the audio (Trumpet Voluntary by Jeremiah Clarke) from my iTunes playlist. The next one will be a piece of cake!

11 Tools Reflection
Creating a blog has been a creative and fun experience. PLNs are a great way to be a part of an online education community. I will use Wordle for brainstorming and creating word clouds with the students. Image Chef is a great visual tool to create a focus for a lesson or activity. I would use Google docs to work with a team on a common document or project.
I love Delicious. Now I can access my bookmarks from any computer!
I would like to incorporate Digital Storytelling in my lessons. This is a tool I will use often. I had a lot of fun creating a video using some of my art work and setting it to music.
Video resources are a great tool to use as focus or to provide visual impact to a lesson. Mobile technology and apps will be an intricate part of the learning process in my classroom.
This process has opened my mind and challenged me to incorporate technology in my classroom. I look forward to using a lot of these tools as resources to deliver instruction.
The only unexpected outcome is that I thought I would hate doing the 11 Tools, but I have had a lot of fun exploring and creating with the use of all of this technology.

Tool 11
I would like for my students to understand internet safety rules, such as not revealing personal information. Be positive and respectful of other people's views when blogging. Understand copyright laws/plagiarism when writing research projects.
This could be presented as a technology literacy and etiquette lesson to the class.
P.S. I'm missing spinning class AGAIN tonight! :-(

Tool 10
I reviewed several math applications. These could be used in the math center for students to practice or review concepts studied in class.
I played with a friend's iPad and there were several WOW moments... I'm still drooling!
There are endless ways that the iTouch could be used in the classroom. Reading apps could be used to reach low readers or create reading groups. Math and science apps could be used in centers for students to review many concepts, etc.

Tool 9
Jing is a great tool that could be used to capture images for visual presentations for lessons.
Skype could be used in the classroom to have students communicate with other classrooms or schools. It could also be used for other professionals around the world to communicate, present lessons or give video presentations to the students.

These are two art videos I used when I taught a science lesson on creating mobiles. I introduced the students to the concept of 3D mobiles and Alexander Calder's art work. The students were fascinated by the images!
